Each service offers a different level of design support, depending on how much of your space you want us to consider.

The Foundations establishes the essential design direction for your space, giving you a clear and cohesive starting point for the project.

The Layers builds on an existing room or established scheme, bringing together the furniture, window treatments, accessories and finishing details that make a space feel complete.

The Works is our most comprehensive design service. It considers the room as a complete scheme, including the architectural and decorative elements, materials, lighting, furniture and finishing details. It is particularly suited to rooms being renovated or substantially redesigned.

The Foundations is suited to clients who need help establishing the overall direction before taking the project forward themselves.

The Layers is ideal when the fundamentals are already in place, but the room needs furniture, furnishings, and finishing details to bring it together.

The Works is designed for projects where the room needs to be considered more comprehensively, particularly where renovation, new finishes, lighting, joinery or other significant changes are involved.

Your Design Portfolio brings the agreed scheme together in one place. Depending on the service you choose, this can include your concept direction, floor plan and furniture layout, design selections, and a linked shopping list, so you know what to buy, what size it should be, and where it goes. Each service lists the deliverables above that you will receive.

Both. We work virtually with clients anywhere, and we can work in person with clients across Scotland. For in-person projects, we can visit your home and take a measured survey for an additional fixed fee. For remote projects, we work from measurements supplied by you, which should be checked carefully before anything is ordered.

We create one considered concept per room, rather than presenting multiple competing schemes. This allows the design to feel cohesive and considered.

For larger investment pieces, such as a sofa, we present a maximum of 3 suitable options so you can make an informed choice.

Yes. Your design fee includes one round of revisions, so we can refine the scheme together. Changes beyond the agreed scope can be accommodated at our hourly rate.

Yes. Our design services are designed for clients who want to take the design forward themselves. We provide the drawings and specifications appropriate to your chosen service, and you can manage your own trades and purchasing.

If you would like us to remain involved with sourcing, purchasing, coordination, or styling, these services can be added for an additional agreed fee.

If your project involves structural alterations, an architect or structural engineer will need to be involved. We can work alongside them to develop the interior design. It’s best to contact us to discuss what is best for your specific project.

Every project is different. The scope, size of rooms, level of detail, and amount of design development required can vary considerably.

Following your initial consultation, we provide a fixed design fee proposal based on the scope of your project, so you know the design cost before we begin.

The design process typically takes four to eight weeks, depending on the number of rooms and the scope of the project. Your individual timeline will be confirmed at the time of booking as part of your Design Quote.

The design is yours to take forward. You can purchase the items yourself and manage your own trades using the Design Portfolio and sourcing information as your guide.

If you would prefer us to stay involved, purchasing, procurement, project coordination, and styling can be added separately.

Yes. Projects can evolve as your plans develop. If the scope changes and you need a more comprehensive level of design support, we can review the project and revise the design fee proposal accordingly.
