Studio Gail Alexander is a full‑service interior design studio based in Scotland, specialising in the thoughtful transformation of houses into homes. We create soulful, relaxed, and deeply personal homes that honour their architecture while supporting the realities of modern‑day life.

Our approach blends vintage and bespoke with classic design pieces, from a trusted network of makers and suppliers, built over many years. Warm woods, textured linens, soft layered lighting, handcrafted and vintage finds, natural stone, and metals that develop a gentle patina - these are the building blocks of a home that feels calm. The result is a thoughtful mix of old and new that creates depth and tells a story, room by room.

Gail Alexander
Gail brings a calm, considered approach to interior design, shaped by years of living in London and Sydney, working across fashion, branding, store interiors, and creative direction for global brands. After studying at KLC School of Design, she returned to Glasgow to design homes across the UK that feel warm, grounded, and deeply personal.
Growing up in old Scottish houses, stone farmhouses, coastal cottages on Arran, and weekends in a castle, she learned early that the most memorable interiors aren’t perfect; they’re the ones with soul. Worn limestone, honest materials, pieces chosen with care, and kept for a long time.
Travelling for work through cities like Paris, Florence, and Copenhagen reinforced that design ethos. When she returned home, she saw how many beautiful homes had lost their character. Restoring that sense of warmth and individuality became the heart of her work: fewer pieces, better chosen, built to last.
Gail’s style is serene and layered, with muted tones, natural materials, soft patterns, organic shapes, and a balance of pretty with an edge. Thoughtful, warm, and quietly authoritative, she helps clients create homes that feel lived‑in, loved, and unmistakably theirs.

Born and raised in Sweden, Anna’s design instincts were shaped by homes filled with inherited antiques, bold prints, and effortless Scandinavian charm. Her own Glasgow home, featured in Homes & Interiors Scotland, is a joyful blend of Svenskt Tenn, Sandberg wallpaper, family heirlooms, and clean Scandinavian lines.
With a background in fashion and years spent running her own clothing brand, Anna has an exceptional eye for textiles, colour, and detail. After retraining in Interior Design in Stockholm, she excels at the elements that bring a room to life: art, fabrics, antiques, and those subtle choices that create depth and personality.
Bold, direct, and endlessly fun to work with, Anna has impeccable taste and creates homes that feel beautifully lived‑in and unmistakably personal.
